100 words

Acres of Diamond is a documentary series on homeland investment, named after Russell Conwell’s lecture about a farmer who sold his land to search for diamonds that lay under his own feet. Filmed on location, the series meets the investment-promotion agencies, ministers and mayors shaping each country’s opportunities, and the members of the diaspora who returned to build farms, factories, clinics and hotels. Season One covers El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Mexico. Episodes are produced in Spanish and English, fact-checked against official and published sources, and released free on YouTube. Nothing in the series is investment advice.
